Nevada Assembly passes Reba's Law to make animal cruelty a felony

After facing numerous challenges, Nevada lawmakers successfully passed Assembly Bill 381, known as Reba's Law, on Friday.

The bill, which aims to elevate animal cruelty penalties to a felony, now moves to the Senate for consideration.

Reba's Law is named after an English bulldog that tragically died last year after being left outside in a plastic bin in July 2024.
