Just a test jam session with the Akai Force an a new Korg Wavestate to see how they play with each other and get use to it.

I am using the Force to trigger sequences and pads on the Wavestate. Sequences work a bit differently to what i am use to on the Wavestate and took a bit of time to get my head around.
Once i got my head around it, it becomes clear how incredibly complex and deep you can get with this little beast. I have only just scratched the surface.

The Force is playing the main drum loops. Kick, hats, snare and tabla samples. Also the 303 style sounds, bass and a Bamboo flute that i recorded in.
The Wavestate is playing the pads, atmospheric background elements and the plucky ratcheting sound. Only using 3 out of 4 layers in this video.
I still need to figure out the best way to rout audio.
Currently everything is going into a mixer, i am considering plugging the Wavestate into the Force to allow for more control over mixing but then that takes away the ability to plug a mic or instrument into the force for sampling.
All part of the process. :)
