Have been wanting to get out and get some samples for my music for a while, woke up early this morning so thought i would go out and give it a go.
Don't have a field recorder but have an old camcorder with a stereo mic so thought i could pull the audio out of the video file.
Worked out not to bad but there is a lot of background noise from the camera, managed to clean the audio the best i could to get it usable and without creating artefacts.
Think it might be worth investing in a field recorder at some point but for now i can make do with the camcorder.
The track was all arranged on the Akai Force, recorded out to Reaper then run through Ozone.
The piano part of the track is 2 midi tracks that run into a plugin track, both midi tracks are different lengths creating a constant variation in the piano, still something i am experimenting with but so far it seem to be working pretty well.
The camera footage isn't the best as i was focusing more on capturing sound but all the footage is from this morning in the bush around my area.
Was beautiful and kind of eerie out there in the mist this morning.
