How much of the fundamental / macroeconomic picture do you involve in your analysis?

How much of the fundamental / macroeconomic picture do you involve in your analysis? Dominic Frisby comments. All I realise with fundamental analysis is that there is so much I don't know so I don't see how you can know the whole picture. I'm very sceptical about fundamental analysis as it tends to just add to the confusion. What about gut instinct?
