Pakistan violates ceasefire: Attack on Jammu & Srinagar After 3 Hours #ceasefire #news
On May 10, 2025, India and Pakistan agreed to an immediate ceasefire following a period of intense cross-border hostilities. However, within hours of the agreement, the ceasefire was reportedly violated. Explosions and drone attacks were reported in the conflict zones of Jammu and Srinagar in Indian-administered Kashmir, leading India to accuse Pakistan of breaching the truce.

Indian officials reported multiple ceasefire breaches and drone intrusions, while Pakistan denied any violations and urged continued communication to maintain peace. The situation remains tense in the disputed Kashmir region, which has been a flashpoint since the 1947 partition, having triggered multiple wars and insurgencies.

The ceasefire was brokered by the United States and welcomed by international figures, including UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. However, escalating tensions over Kashmir resumed shortly after, with both sides conducting missile attacks this week. India launched “Operation Sindoor” targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure, claiming to have killed a high-profile Jaish-e-Mohammed commander. Pakistan retaliated with its own missile strikes, emphasizing restraint and readiness for diplomacy.

The renewed violence follows last month’s deadly terrorist attack on Hindu tourists in Kashmir, blamed by India on Pakistani-based militants—a claim Pakistan denies. Fears of further escalation have led to warnings that a nuclear conflict could kill 125 million people, with global observers calling for immediate de-escalation.
