Drunk Driver K*lls 3 People In Vadodara, Shouts"Another Round" #vadodara #news
On March 13, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in Vadodara, Gujarat, where a 23-year-old law student, Rakshit Chaurasia, allegedly drove under the influence and caused a fatal accident. Chaurasia reportedly lost control of his car in the Karelibaug area, colliding with three vehicles, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to eight others.
The victim has been identified as Hemali Patel, who was riding a two-wheeler with her husband, Purav Patel; he remains in critical condition. The severity of the collision caused the car's airbags to deploy. After the crash, Chaurasia exited the vehicle and was heard shouting phrases like "another round," "uncle," and "Om Namah Shivay." His behavior led bystanders to apprehend and, in some cases, physically assault him before the police arrived.
Chaurasia has been arrested and charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Authorities have collected his blood samples to confirm alcohol consumption. His friend, Meet Chauhan, who owned the car and was present during the incident, is also under investigation. Both individuals face potential charges under the Prohibition Act, pending the results of their blood tests.
This incident underscores the severe consequences of drunk driving and highlights the need for stringent enforcement of traffic and alcohol consumption laws to ensure public safety.
