In & Around Hollywood- 1940s (Home Movie)

These are scenes from my great grandfather's camera from the 1940s. Max Rapp was a composer/arranger/contractor for Universal Pictures from 1935 until his passing in 1960. The footage was all shot in & around the Hollywood area during the early 1940s (except for the small clip of Yellowstone), with most of the scenes taking place at the family home. Their home sat next to the Cross on Cahuenga and provided a wonderful view of Hollywood and the surrounding area. If you're a fan of Hollywood's Golden Age then you'll love this video! You'll see the cars, décor, and more. Because it's a long clip, I've provided a brief outline to navigate through the video. The starred ones are my personal favorites and ones that highlight the era.
