MX5 Roadtrip - Southern Ireland | Part 3 of 6: Ring of Kerry

In October 2018, Rach and I took the MX5 on an epic road trip around Southern Ireland.

In part 3, we start exploring the Ring of Kerry. We were originally intending to do this in one day, but we discovered it was rather a lot larger than we anticipated, so we decided to split it into two. This was lucky, since this gave us the chance to discover the rather beautiful Ballaghisheen Pass, which runs up the middle of the Kerry peninsula. We also drove some brilliant twisting road through the exceptionally beautiful Killarney National Park, where we visited Torc Waterfall, Upper Lake and Ladies View - with some stunning views back towards Killarney. Our turn-around point was Portmagee, a beautiful fishing port on the very end of the Kerry Peninsula, where we enjoyed a late lunch in a proper Irish local pub.
