What The Hidden Archives Say About Mormons in Nazi Germany

In the German (Berlin) historical archives, we've just discovered a massive investigative report that the Nazis made about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1930s, and it changes the narrative on what the Nazis really thought of die Mormonen, or the Mormons.

It's a fair question, which side where Latter-day Saints on?

Were they heroes trying to save Jews? Or were they Nazis?

On the one hand, we have a hero like Latter-day Saint Helmuth Hübener who sacrificed his life at just 17 years old to educate Germans on the evils of Naziism.

On the other hand, there were German Latter-day Saints who were members of the Nazi party.

The Nazis themselves wanted to get to the bottom of this so they made a 500 page dossier on the Church, which until recently has been completely ignored by historians.

The Nazis concluded: the doctrine of Mormonism is completely incompatible with National Socialism, or Naziism.

One Gestapo officer even told a Latter-day Saint that once Germany had finished solving the Jewish problem, the Mormons were...pretty high on their list.
