"Never wait alone at Platform 13 after midnight," they said—but Mia didn’t believe in urban legends. She stood on the dim-lit train station, her phone blinking at 12:03 AM. Suddenly, a chilling draft swept around her. The scent of damp earth filled the air, but no train was in sight. She heard footsteps—slow, deliberate—echoing behind her. Yet, the platform was eerily empty. She turned around, and there it was: a shadowy figure in a conductor’s uniform, its face a hollow void. "Missed your train?" it whispered, its voice scraping like rusted metal. Panicked, Mia stumbled backward, but her feet felt glued to the ground. The apparition extended a skeletal hand, pointing to the tracks. And then, she realized—the ground beneath her wasn’t solid anymore. The phantom lunged, and she plunged into the abyss of the tracks, swallowed by darkness. Mia vanished without a trace.
