In this video: ‘Hula hoop exercise routine for beginners | Engaging the abs’ We will keep our feet in one point and work to strengthen the core and build the muscles needed to become more fluid with your hoop. We work at a steady pace with plenty of time to stabilise the hoop before moving onto the next one.
This 15 minute video can be an excellent addition to your morning routine. Getting fit and having fun… Its an excellent way to start your day :)
The hula hoop I’m using is 95cm (37 inch) hula hoop with 20mm (3/4 inch) tubing. It’s on the heavier end of the scale which is great for working the waist and learning new tricks!
Hula hoop exercise routines series….
Each video includes a 5 minute hula hoop workout routine designed to build strength and work up a sweat! Before we get into the routine I will do a short stretching sequence and introduce the moves that are included in the routine. In all routines we work both sides; both natural and unnatural spinning directions. This may take a little getting used to, but the more you spin in the unnatural direction the more control you gain on the natural direction.
