ABS Not Sticking to Bed - 3D Printing Problem and Solutions - #5minFriday - #34

ABS not sticking to your print bed? Me too! Here’s what I tried to get better results.

This is with the TierTime Up Mini 2 3D Printer. I’ve had mized results with ABS, the best adhesion comes from roundish prints that accupy the centre of the bed, if this is the case then the UpFlex AKA BuildTak surface does the job perfectly.


Wider prints such as the Z-Axis mount for the MPCNC (Yes, I know this is a pathetically small print in the grand scheme of things but I think the important factor is percentage of build plate - temperature variations happen towards the edge of any plate)... anyway, wider prints I’ve had trouble with.

In this video I had more success with the UP Perf board and Pritt Stick Paper Glue, but to be honest, I think it’s down to honing the calibration. Subscribe to see that process in action.
