10 Reasons How INFERIOR SENSING AFFECTS The INFJ | The Rarest Personality Type. In Carl Jung’s model of topology, the superior function is the one a person automatically uses that becomes natural, in the INFJs case that is the inferior function. He believed that the inferior function is identical to the dark side of the human personality. The INFJs inferior function is Extraverted Sensing. So Why does this type of sensing greatly affect the INFJ?

As the INFJ tries to integrate and understand where the inferior sensing is coming from, the more they dig deeper, the more anxious they get. Learning about this kind of function can influence their thoughts, decisions, and what they do with others. But this also means that they can learn to make better relationships, connect to others better and vigilantly protect their own egos (yes, that is very important for an INFJ too). This process scares them but they know they have to deal with it to achieve the “healthy balanced psyche” they are trying to achieve.

Sensitiveness is a sign of the presence of inferiority thus we can safely assume that whenever this comes out not just to an INFJ but to anyone, it will greatly influence and affect their behavior.
