CGS Hawk: Nose Gear Fitting Replacement
Putting the new welded steel nose gear fitting onto my Hawk. The new support tubes are in, and I align the new part so that the nose gear keeps it's original position in the aircraft.
Note that I am restoring the aircraft to the configuration it was in when it was flying, before my forced landing. Not everything shown is 100% per the plans, however the aircraft had 376 trouble-free hours and the structure held-up great all-along, at least up until my hard landing in a cornfield! I am not an expert, I only play one on YouTube: Be sure to consult and follow your plans explicitly when constructing or repairing your amateur-built aircraft or ultralight vehicle.
