Feedback Control with Python: Model Identification and Cascade Control with a PID Loop
In this video lecture, I show you how to use Collimator (which is like Simulink for Python users) to implement feedback control. Specifically, we do cascade control, where we want to control tank level using an inflow set point as the manipulated variable. The flow setpoint goes to a flow controller to calculate valve position. This lecture shows how to do a simple step test to identify a first order transfer function approximation.
