MoraMD Surgical Pearls: Suprascapular Nerve Block

Shoulder Arthroscopy recovery is hard and not fun at all.
In order to help my patients with post surgical pain I will have my anesthesiologist provide a brachial plexus block augmented with my own Suprascapular Nerve Block (CPT 64418). After the surgery I will recommend a cooling (cryotherapy) unit. ___________________________

This is also a block that can be used in the clinical setting for patients with severe shoulder pain specially those who are suffering from capsulitis
