Lalgudi G Jayaraman - Srimathi - Vellore Ramabhadran - V Nagarajan

The 23rd upload is a concert from the late 1960s and features the maestro with Srimathi.
Overall this a concert of breathtaking beauty. Special mention has to be made of the Dhanyasi piece as the maestro conjures up music which leaves the listener stunned!
We request the rasikas to bear with us for some brief infirmities in the recording especially in item number 8, Bavanutha. This was due to damages in the source spool.
However we did not have the heart to cut out any item due to the sheer beauty of the concert and also the relative rarity of Lalgudi – Srimathi concert recordings. (Their last public concert together was in July 1972. From September 1973, GJR Krishnan took over the mantle as the accompanying violinist.)
