April can bring big contrasts in the weather. Wintry periods remain very possible, but so do dry and warm ones.

The forecast uses data from a wide range of computer models. It is intended to be easy to follow and focuses on possible trends and signals. Forecasting the specifics of the weather more than a few days ahead in Great Britain is very difficult. Consistently accurate long rang forecasts are not possible with current technology!
