A woodland walk around Calderwood

Mental health issues can affect anyone at any time. With everything that is going on in the world at the moment, it is a stressful time for everyone whether you are self-isolating on your own or on the front lines working. The natural world around us is a great way to help us cope and escape the stresses life is placing on everyone at the moment.

Getting outdoors and active can improve your mental health but also your physical health and by immersing yourself in the sounds and sights of nature, it can put you in a positive frame of mind and have an uplifting effect on your wellbeing.

We know a lot of people, however, might not be able to get out to their local river, woodland or park just now so we have created this short video clip of a woodland walk to experience nature and bring a bit of nature to you. This is ideal for anyone stuck inside shielding or may not be able to get out and about as easily.
