The Worldwide Myopia Crisis | Zachary Utt | TEDxFreedomHighSchool

In addition to exploring the current epidemic of worldwide nearsightedness, this talk explores promising new advancements within myopia prevention research. By compiling together computer models, expert testimony, research papers, and government records, the talk describes a proposal for new tools to combat rising myopia rates. Zachary Utt is a high school senior and rising computer science undergrad aiming to integrate computer models into different fields, from politics to health. He established a software development firm, designing solutions worldwide to implement software into non-traditional computer software environments, including the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia and various doctors across India.
