The St. John Fisher University men's basketball team were on the road on Thursday, battling against Misericordia University in day one of the Medgar Evers Tournament. The Cardinals held onto the lead after 40 minutes of play to come out on top by a score of 84-82. Fisher holds a record of 4-4, while the Cougars fall to 5-5.

Jack Foley and Daniel Cook led the team in points for the night, both ending with 19. Cook had 11 rebounds, five assists, one block, two steals and went 50% on field goals. Foley finished with five rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and went 3-for-4 on his three point attempts. Trapper ended with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one block. For the team, they ended the night with a 52.5% field goal percentage and went 70.6% in their free throw attempts.
