Hanging out with lemurs! These animals are my absolute favourite primates! Millions of years ago lemurs where widespread around the world. Over time monkeys and apes quickly outcompeted them. Thanks to Madagascar breaking off from the African continent, the lemurs there were protected from this and that is the reason they still exist today! Lemurs are endemic to Madagascar and that is the only place left on our planet they are naturally found! Pretty amazing! I never thought I’d ever get to experience this! My childhood dreams are coming true each and every day that we spend on this amazing island 🇲🇬!
