Bridging Foundations for a LiveAble Future, or #liveablefuture, is a worldwide campaign of inspiring conversations bringing together the greatest thinkers of humanity to inspire a different future.

Dr. Vandana Shiva is a Indian scientist, environmental activist, food sovereignty advocate and anti-globalization author. Originally trained as a physicist, she has dedicated the last five decades to service of the Earth, women and small farmers. Dr. Shiva created a grassroots movement, Navdanya, to save seeds, protect farmers’ rights and promote traditional organic farming methods that increase nutrition and income, thus reducing hunger and poverty. Her book, Soil Not Oil, shows how fossil-fuel-based industrial agriculture contributes to climate change, and how biodiverse organic farming is a solution. She has pointed out the contradictions brought by globalization from a viewpoint of marginalized people and women, and has fought against biopiracy.

Navdanya is a network of seed keepers and organic producers spread across 22 states in India. The organization has helped set up 122 community seed banks across the country, trained over 9,00,000 farmers in seed sovereignty, food sovereignty and sustainable agriculture over the past two decades, and helped setup the largest direct marketing, fair trade organic network in the country. Navdanya has also set up a learning center, Bija Vidyapeeth (School of the Seed / Earth University) on its biodiversity conservation and organic farm in Doon Valley, Uttarakhand, North India. Navdanya is actively involved in the rejuvenation of indigenous knowledge and culture. It has created awareness on the hazards of genetic engineering, defended people's knowledge from biopiracy and food rights in the face of globalisation and climate change. Navdanya is a women centred movement for the protection of biological and cultural diversity.

Pedro Tarak is Senior Leader of Global Bridge Builders, co-founder of Sistema B and former President of Sistema B International and Board Member of the Wellbeing Economy Foundation in the UK. He is co-founder of Emprendia an international adviser to Guayaki, a B Corp company that produces energy drinks made from organic yerba mate and dedicated to regenerating the South Atlantic Forest and the sense of community of its inhabitants.

Michel Bauwens, Founder of the P2P Foundation and Research Director of CommonsTransition.org, a platform for policy development and a founding member of the Commons Strategies Group. He has co-published books and reports (with Vasilis Kostakis), "Network Society and Future Scenarios for a Collaborative Economy", and more recently "P2P: The Commons Manifesto".
