ഞങ്ങൾ കൊല്ലത്ത് മഹൽ ബിരിയാണിയിൽ പോയി. ബിരിയാണി അത്ര കൂടുതൽ മസാല ഉള്ള ഒരു രീതി അല്ലായിരുന്നു , പക്ഷെ രുചി എനിക്ക് താല്പര്യം ആയി. അതേപോലെ തന്നെ കൊഞ്ച് ഗോൾഡൻ ഫ്രൈ ഒരു നല്ല സ്റ്റാർട്ടർ ആയിരുന്നു താനും.
While we were in Kollam last time, many of our Food N Travel friends recommended us to visit Mahal Biriyani. This time as we were exploring food in and around Kollam City, we decided to try out in Mahal. Mahal Biriyani was not rich in masala, but it was lighter and smooth. Unlike the usual Kollam style biriyani, they use small grain rice for making biriyani. I love both the versions - the long-grain version of Biriyani and the short-grain version of Biriyani (which is made from Jeerakashaala Rice). Yet, I have a weakness for the Malabar Biriyani (the short-grain biriyani), and that too Malabar Mutton Biriyani.
