What van to choose: Sprinter vs Transit vs Promaster

What van should you chose for your campervan build?
Are you looking to convert a van into a campervan? But don't know which van to get?
We were quite unsure of which model and brand to get, every van is great in its own way, but we had some requirements which narrowed it down pretty well for us. Hopefully, this video can help you with your decision on which van would be best for you.

We are comparing (our thoughts) on the Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, RAM Promaster. We also talk about why Ford Transit ended up being the best choice for us.

Our main 3 prerequisites were:
- It had to be wider than 185cm (Tobias is 184cm)
- We had to be able to stand upright in the car (after insulation)
- Less than 6m long, but still possible to have bikes, bathroom, kitchen area and bed

In addition, we (really) wanted:
- A van that wasn't too old (we know nothing about cars)
- Automatic transmission
- A decent amount of horsepower
- Straight walls for an easier build
- A robust and sturdy car, maybe possible to convert into AWD at a later time
- Easy to get our hands on (not too expensive) parts while traveling in case of a breakdown
- Not too spend all our money on a vehicle and have nothing left for the build 😉
