GOP’s New Anti-LGBTQ Policies Are More Draconian Than Ever—And Blatantly Unconstitutional

Republicans across the country are coming up with new ways to restrict LGBTQ rights; Oklahoma and Nebraska are defining trans people out of existence, a rogue District Attorney in Tennessee is illegally threatening to arrest pride organizers, and Texas has become the largest state to ban gender affirming care for trans and non-binary youth by revoking the medical licenses of doctors who treat gender dysphoria with the care recommended by experts. The silver lining is that data and anecdotal evidence suggests the GOP’s fixation on LGBTQ issues is starting to backfire; a new poll finds that even a majority of Republicans don’t support the GOP’s anti-LGBTQ education policies.
