SLDI Program is changing communities in Africa through education

Through the Sisters Leadership Development Initiative (SLDI), ASEC educates Catholic sisters in 10 African countries, improving their ability to impact communities. Over 2,500 sisters have participated in SLDI and are sharing their knowledge with over 6,000 mentees.

A 2018 survey revealed that SLDI alumnae and their mentees have...
- served over 2 million people
- created over 3,300 jobs
- secured $13.7+ million for community projects

Although ASEC has made significant strides, over 80% of African sisters lack higher education.
