Top 3 Beginner Post Processing Mistakes to Avoid

In this video I will share three mistakes that I made when I started processing my own photos. Hopefully these mistakes can help you process your photos better.

1. The first mistake is not calibrating your monitor. I use Datacolor Spyder 4 to calibrate my monitor. Now their latest version is Spyder 5.

2. The second mistake is over processing your photos. The solution that helped me is to leave the photo a couple days and come back to review the photo later. When you come back, all the excitements faded away, and at that point you can make better judgement if you over processed the photo.

3. The third mistake is trying to add elements that are not in the photo. For example, if you really wanted to have sunrise or sunset color but you didn't get it, I would encourage you to go out and shoot again. When the lighting is really there, not only you can experience it yourself, but also you can get more natural looking photos.
