LS Cam Swap

I have had these parts on the shelf waiting for this install for over a year. Finally I had the opportunity to dig into this LS motor hoping for a smooth install. Unfortunately, the further I dig into this motor, the more I find how not well maintained this was. Hoping to do just a quick cam install while keeping the heads in place quickly turned into a bigger project. As you all know, it is time to get this thing running.

So I pull the cam and find the horrible lobe wear caused from the worn lifters which means the heads need to come off for the lifters to be replaced. So further into the rabbit hole we go.

I went with the PAC springs because they can reuse the original spring hats, seals and retainers.

Also at this point, I'm thinking a oil pump is necessary as well as the trunnion upgrade kit ( I was going to do this after I got the car going). Please let me know what else I should do while I am in here.

As far as lifters replacements go, I was thinking of using GM replacement LS7 lifters or Morel lifters. Please let me know your thoughts.
