The Art of Connecting the Unconnected | Lakshmi Mohanbabu | TEDxIITPatna

NOTE FROM TED: TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf

Life is rarely a straight path; it is a series of "zig-zags" that connect seemingly unrelated disciplines. In this evocative talk, Lakshmi Mohanbabu shares how her journey from Kabul to the ocean floor led to the creation of a universal language. She explores how a single interaction can bridge the gap between art, engineering, and science, redefining what humanity can create when we work together across boundaries. Lakshmi Mohanbabu is the architect of the Interactions Project—A vision to bring together people from all walks of life by bridging disciplines and cultures, combining art, engineering, science, and technology to create a platform of interaction that leads to collaboration.
The project has achieved historic milestones: the World's First Art Installation on the Ocean floor at a depth of 7 kilometres, and the First to span the two extremes of human reach: Outer Space above and the Deep Ocean below—transcending boundaries to connect across every realm of experience and existence, across the world and beyond. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
