“Hard is the Filter” makes the case that difficulty isn’t the obstacle between you and what you want. It’s the mechanism that decides who gets there. A talk about why the thing most people avoid is the thing that separates them from what they’re chasing. Leo Tchennozian built a company in one of the hardest places in the world to build one. As the founder and CEO of Blend, an event management platform operating across the Middle East, he learned early that the conditions were never going to be perfect, the timing was never going to be right, and the easy path was never going to show up. So he stopped waiting for it.
A mechanical engineering graduate from the American University of Beirut, Leo has spent years stress-testing a single idea: that the things most worth doing are hard precisely because they filter out everyone who isn’t serious. His talk, “Hard is the Filter,” is not a motivational story. It is an honest account of what happens when you go all in, hit the wall, and discover that the wall was never the end of the road.
