#1 What is Hope?
And what does the Bible have to say about it?

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

11 Faith is a way of possessing what we hope for; it is a way of being sure of realities we do not see.

11 Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.

Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.

Without hope there is no where for your faith to go, without hope there is no goal for the substance of faith to enter into.

Without hope there’s no substance for faith to work.

What is the bible definition of hope?

Hope is to stand/wait with joy and full confidence.
Strongs, concordance, Hebrew, 1680 says
It’s a dream, a plan, a desire, an expectation, an aim, an ambition, A yearning.

Hope has an abundant mindset.

Abraham used his supernatural heart of hope.
Romans 4:18 (KJV)
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Romans 4:18 (NIV)
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.

Abraham made a firm decision to live in this hope that he would be without a shadow of a doubt the father of many = (abundant and plenteous) Nations = (nation, community, people).

Hope has an abundant mindset.

Nations in today’s vernacular the word here is the word countries.
This verse says that Abraham’s hope was abundant in what God told him.

Like king, David said in:

Psalm 71:5.
You are my hope Lord.

This word hope is the word to be attached or to be a cord. It is a verb - an action word!

Hope means that your heart is attached to the thing that you were expecting and desiring.

King David gave this a real definition of hope here. Trust. How many times did he say it in the Bible. A lot. Hope is the same word for trust.

What is your heart attached to? What are you believing for? What is God promised you? Hold onto it, amen. And never let it go. No faith says it’s mine.

Hope is the architect of your faith.
Faith is the builder of your life.
