SV650 Valve Adjustment Without Removing Cam Chain Tensioner
This is a brief video I put together on adjusting the valves on a SV650 without removing the cam chain tensioner. I did it on the front, but it will definitely work on the back:
1. Zip tie cam chain to cam
2. Remove top bolt on cam chain tensioner (already done in video)
3. Use a flathead screwdriver, preferably offset because a straight one won't fit, and turn it clockwise to reduce the tension on the chain
4. Secure the screwdriver so the tensioner does not re-tighten
5. Do what you gotta do
Make sure not to release the tension on the adjuster until you're done working.
