The Endless Table: Recipes, Loss, Legacy & Holiday Grief
Hosted by Tembi Locke, Kate DeBartolo, and Michael Hebb on November 23rd, 2020 The Endless Table is a celebration of the powerful legacy of those that we have cooked with and those that we have lost.
We gathered several renowned chefs and grief experts to share stories and recipes and discuss loss, legacy, and Holiday grief. Hosted by NY Times bestselling author Tembi Locke, the Founder of EOL Michael Hebb and the Executive Director of The Conversation Project Kate DeBartolo.
We are honored to be joined by world-renowned chefs and food writers Dan Barber, Alice Waters, Brendan McGill, Kathleen Flinn, and Jaqueline Raposo who joined us on behalf of the Floyd Cardoz Legacy team. In the second half of this holiday gathering, several remarkable grief experts will lead a conversation about grief and the holidays, notably: Megan Devine, Claire Bidwell Smith, Alica Forneret, and Hope Edelman. With special guest Carla Fernandez, the co-founder of The Dinner Party!
Food has always been one of the most powerful ways to remember, honor, and grieve the people we have lost. And, the holidays are an especially meaningful and sometimes challenging time for us to both honor our loved one's memory and confront our grief. This was a unique opportunity to hear from leading chefs and food writers, and glean wisdom from grief specialists.
We have a long list of incredible partners that joined us at this special event: The James Beard Foundation, Eluna Network, The Karuna Project, Keeper, Talk Death, The Dinner Party, The Grief Coach, Banister Advisors, Willow EOL, Good Grief, Reimagining Grief.
