What did I find while rockhounding Alaska? I took to Homer Spit, that iconic gravel bar stretching 4.5 miles into Kachemak Bay, for some serious beach rockhounding. While the scenery is unbeatable, my real dream finds were the mushroom rhyolite agate, dramatic red and orange jasper, and an array of other stunning beach-collected minerals.
