I went rockhounding and found agates galore, including some with incredible translucence, plus a whole bunch of stunning mushroom rhyolite rocks with super detailed, intricate patterns. If that wasn’t exciting enough, there were bright yellow and deep red jaspers, classic white quartz, and possibly even... JADE?! 🤯

All of this while dodging happy, sandy dogs zooming by mid-sniff, mid-bark, and occasionally checking out my rocks hoping they were a treat! You have to love a rockhounding adventure with extra chaos and cuteness!

If you're thinking about checking out the Central Coast for rockhounding, especially around Morro Bay, this beach is definitely worth a visit!
