Difference Between Merging and Adding Walls in FreeCAD BIM
In this quick tip for FreeCAD BIM, difference between Merging and Adding Walls is explained. Both of these tools enable users to join individual walls.
Merge Walls (Arch_MergeWalls) tool merges several walls into one wall with one sketch as a base object. Only walls with the same Width, Height and Alignment can be merged.
Add Component (Arch_Add) tool adds several walls into one wall container. Unlike when using the merge command, added walls remain as independent objects and their height, width and alignment can be changed independently of each other.
