Architectural Grid Setup in FreeCAD BIM | Axis Tool

This tutorial shows how to setup architectural (or structural) grid lines in FreeCAD BIM, using the Arch Axis tool. Grid system is used in AEC projects to define basic axes which are usually used for positioning of structural columns and walls.

The tutorial covers grid lines creation and setup, including the bubble and text sizes and positions, distances between grid lines and their angles. Grid numbering is also explained. The tutorial covers setup of typical structural grid, with two perpendicular sets of grid lines, one with with numbers and the other with alphabet letters.

The second part of the tutorial covers placing grid lines in drawings on TechDraw pages (or sheets), including creation of links for grid line to be placed on multiple drawings.

The tutorial also covers creation of lines which represent section position.
