Accu Slice - Resawing and Cutting Wide Boards (9)

Resawing and slicing thin sections of wood boards up to 12" wide utilizing the Accu-Slice band saw accessory. Slices as thin as 0.010" thick can be sliced from 12" wide boards with an accuracy of 0.002" in thickness on all the edges of the sliced board. The sliced pboards are straight and all edges and surfaces are parallel. In addition the sliced board surface is much smoother than conventional wood resawing on the band saw requiring no plaining and minimal sanding of the board surfaces. In addition blade drift is eliminated since the wood being sliced is mounted to the Accu-Slice fence. This technique is used in producing thin veneers, matched book panels and other thin slices of wood. Also a comparison of different band saw blades to compare the finished resulting from these various band saw blades.
