Hexagon Plate Design - Cuerda Seca Technique | Hand Painted Ceramics

Hello! In this video I hand paint a ceramic plate using the cuerda seca technique. This week I chose to use hexagon cookie cutters I had at home in different sizes to create this plate design using black wax resist and ceramic glaze.

What is cuerda seca? It is a painting technique originating from Spain that uses a wax like substance to prevent different glaze colors from running together and keeps the colors in a designated area.
