I went on a Galapagos cruise with Celebrity Xpedition and it was an experience of a lifetime. You have a luxury cruise and a true adventure. It really was an expedition and we had the chance to tour Galapagos in the best way possible.

Day 1 UK – Quito

So, on the first day I left UK by London Heathrow flying to Amsterdam and then across to Quito, Ecuador. This was really easy to do and everything was smooth and easy.

Day 2 –Quito, Ecuador Walking tour

On this day we got to have a walking tour of Quito.we experienced going to the equator. On top of this we got to see the Ecuadorian Culture and History.

Day 3 – Quito to Galapagos with Daphne Island

This is where we were going to join the Celebrity Expedition.

Day 4 – Gardner Bay Walk and Snorkel
First thing in the morning I had an early breakfast out on deck and a small finch landed on the arm of my chair. This set a president for the rest of the day.

Day 4 – Rocky Walk – Pta Suarez
When you think a day just can’t get any better in Galapagos don’t be surprised when it does! After having a barbeque lunch out on the back deck we went on a long rocky walk of Pta Suarez.

Day 5 – Floreana Island – Pta Cormorant
Due to all the sights, sounds and smells of last night, this was the first day I was awoken by the sounds of my alarm.

Day 5 – Champion Island – Snorkelling
This was a deep sea snorkel. I had high hopes for this one as I was told I might see a sea turtle due to the temperature of the water. We were told to buddy up for safety while, out here so I chose fellow Planet Cruise Cruise Expert Michal.

Day 6 Isabella Island, Zodiac and Walking Tour
We set sail on the zodiac again looking for a variety of different animals. We have been told that today there is a chance we might see a penguin. However, as the species are getting smaller and smaller on the islands.

Day 7 – Espinoza Island – Fernandina – Walking Tour
This time on the zodiac we sailed in for a dry landing on a jetty. On the way there we saw more of the volcanoes that surrounded us as it was a very clear day.

Day 7 – Fernandina Island Snorkle

Before we hit the water, there was a seal lion trying to snatch my mask out of my hands while I washed it. He was playing with us and playing with the boat. And once we got in to the water he was playing with us more.

Day 7 – Fernandina Island, Whales
While travelling from Fernandina Island to Isabella Island the Captain on Celebrity Expedition made an announcement over the tannoy. There were Whales!

Day 7 – Pta Vincente Roca

We went out to the isle snorkelling again. How can it top my last experience?

Day 8 South Plaza, Santa Cruz Islands
As soon as we got off onto the islands here we saw some sea lion playing in the water and excited that we were to be there. They were swimming and performing for us as we embarked onto the island.

This island again is different to the other islands. It felt much more like we were somewhere in the Adriatic. There was stunning red weeds vibrant all over the islands. There was also, a lot of this cacti that was surround the red vibrancy, with it’s green.

Day 8 – Dragon Island, Santa Cruz
If you compare Dragon Island, Santa Cruz to South Plaza you will get some differences. This is mainly due to the terrain and the way the landscape appears.

Day 9 – Santa Cruz Island,
As I have mentioned throughout this blog all the islands here are different. This island is no different. It feels like you’ve been taken to somewhere in the Caribbean.
