GIRL vs.14 000 PEAK | Training & Eating to Climb Mount Everest
This week I went to Denver, and did several different forms of altitude training. As if I were training to climb Mount Everest! Including a EMOM (Every Minute On The Minute) Workout at an altitude of 15,000 feet, higher elevation is no joke. For safety we monitored my heart rate and my oxygen % throughout the workout. I also hiked a mountain in Denver, weighted stair master cardio...and yes for fun we dabbled into what I would eat if I was hiking up said mountain. Diet wise I stuck to my usual to make sure I was fuelling my body (check out last weeks vlog video to see more of what I ate), as fuelling my body for this style training is crucial. BUT thought it'd be fun to dive into and test how they eat & drink water on the mountain....
NOTE: this video was simply the cardio & training I'd do to climb mount Everest, giving that I was going to the mile high city (a great place to train for Everest due to altitude) I thought this would be the perfect time to challenge myself to see if I am capable of training this way. Climbing Mount Everest is on the fitness bucketlist, so one day I will bring you all along that journey!
