Flandarized Characters who completely changed overtime:

Starting off we have Stewie and Brian Griffin: In early family Guy, Stewie was an evil genius who was obsessed with trying to kill his mom and take over the world. Now he’s written to be much more softer, sensitive, and confused.

Brian Griffin started off as the voice of reason, the guy who always gave Peter good advice when he was in trouble. In more modern episodes he is written to be a caricature of a Smug Liberal who is oblivious to his surroundings in social settings.

Next we have Ned Flanders, who is so famous for this trope that the term Flanderization is literally based off of him. Ned started off as a kind devout Christian who was almost like the opposite of Homer in a way. Overtime he developed into a 1 trick pony, just an exaggerated stereotype of a hyper fundamentalist Bible Thumper.

Moving on we have Patrick Star. Patrick was always a well meaning Goofball, he would always cheer SpongeBob on and motivate him, but in modern episodes he has become a complete imbecile and Subaru Sybau (Sea Bow).

Then there is Bayverse Optimus Prime Compared to G1 Prime. This is a little unfair since they are two different continuities, but it is true to say that Bayverse prime does things that G1 prime would never do, such as Kill humans and tear enemies faces off.

And lastly we have Randy Marsh who started as a smart, grounded geologist and one of South Park's more reasonable adults. Over time, he was flanderized into a reckless, egotistical pot farmer obsessed with chasing trends and indulging his own whims.
