New York City locals commented on the choices they made at the US presidential election, amid vote count in the battleground states, Friday.
The residents appeared to be divided on the issue, with some slamming incumbent President Donald Trump as a "threat to democracy" for his allegations of fraud and rejection of results in some states, while others backed his position.
Leticia Jones expressed her outrage with Trump's stance as a presidential candidate, saying "I think Trump is a direct threat to our democracy, to our freedom and to everything that we live for, everything everybody works for in this country".
Another resident, Joe Simons, joined the critics, adding that "what he is doing now is completely in character with how he behaved over the last four years."
Alex Santana, however, backed the president's intention to investigate the elections to ensure "full democracy" was implemented in the voting process.
"I think that Trump is right and he needs to fight off what he is fighting for because there is some kind of fraud in this country, so we need to make sure there is a full democracy," he said.
