India’s Biggest Auto Export Hub! Mundra Port Creates Record with 6,008 Cars 🚢 | Current Affairs 2026

Gujarat’s Mundra Port has emerged as India’s largest automobile export hub, setting a new national record by exporting 6,008 cars in a single shipment.

This milestone was made possible by the advanced Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) terminal, where vehicles are directly driven onto ships—making the process faster, safer, and more efficient.

Operated by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, the port has already crossed 500 million tonnes cargo capacity and is aiming for 1 billion tonnes by 2030.

With rising demand for “Made in India” vehicles across Africa, Europe, and Latin America, India is rapidly strengthening its position in the global supply chain.
