Can you unholster your gun if you have a carry permit?

Can you do anything with your gun without getting arrested? No, probably not. If you have a CWP (concealed weapon permit), in South Carolina, you can "open carry". That means leave it in the holster. If you take it out of the holster, you will have a problem. Can you take it out in a public place and: clean it? reload it? show it to your friends? No. In my opinion, if you do those things, the police are coming and you will have a problem.
