UNCOMFORTABLE Situation Metal Detecting 1700's Tavern (WRONG LANDLORD)

It was time to GO! We received permission form a Tenant and NOT the Owner. This episode starts off with Mark and I metal detecting a New Farm permission. We found the remains of a structure in the field. We found a few keepers but the site didn't pan out. The next day Bill came out with us. We were searching for a tavern site we found on on old map. We found the site of the old tavern and obtained permission from a sweet lady we thought was the owner. We offered to show all of our finds and let her keep what she wanted. This site was HOT! Immediately we started finding early relics and old coins. The situation became Uncomfortable when we found out the sweet lady was just a tenant and not the actual owner. The owner was OK with us being there and metal detecting. He actually told us all about the history of the old tavern. After a while we realized the owner wasn't trilled about about our presence so we decided it was best to move on. We laid out everything for them to see. They took all the desirable coins and a few of the relics. It was great just finding the site and a few items for the property. It was a site hard to leave. We know there's plenty more to be found. To end off the day we returned to a standing permission and we surprised with a few incredible coins and relics we've previously missed!
