Sim Shalom (Janowski)
Here's one of my most favorite settings of Sim Shalom, the ultimate prayer for peace. It is by Max Janowski (1912-1991) who was born in Berlin, and is considered one of the most prolific and influential composers of synagogue music in the 20th century.
Recorded in Berlin last year for the album Heritage, featuring treasures of Jewish-German composers.
With RIAS Kammerchor

Justin Doyle, Conductor
Raymond Goldstein, Arranger
Program notes: Dr. Anat Rubinstein
