Restoration: A Sound Practice

In May 2009, at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Getty Conservation Institute, the Getty Foundation, and the J. Paul Getty Museum hosted the symposium "Facing the Challenges of Panel Paintings Conservation: Trends, Treatments and Training."

This symposium highlighted recent developments in panel paintings research and conservation, ranging from specific treatment projects to related exhibition issues.
