Roles of the Health Department During Disasters

This is a powerpoint presentation recorded for my lecture on the roles of the health department during disasters. The pictures on the background was Olongapo City and DOH Region III responding to the Olongapo Leptospirosis Incident of 2013.

This video was done as a refresher or as a re-echo to the City Health Department about what HEMS is and what the health emergency management is all about. Unfortunately it did not see much air time as the department saw it fit to have a different presentation.

I uploaded it on Youtube for everybody to see critique and discuss the health emergency management for health department responses during disasters.

I would welcome any comments and suggestions below. Health emergency preparedness should be a priority need for all health departments worldwide.
